Ever Experience Aches Or Stiffness?
Whether It’s Arthritis Or Another Degenerative Condition, The Discomfort You Sometimes Experience Often Causes Muscles To Tense, as a Natural Way to Protect.
This Added Tension is Common and Often Stays with You. Muscles that “Brace” Don’t Work the Same.
As a Result, You Don’t Move as Well. This Adds to Problems Your Arthritic Joints Have.
Observe and be guided in how to become more aware of un-doing muscle effort and
tension, through principles of SmartBody’s relaxercise approach.
Learn ways to become more flexible in how you use your body. This helps reduce wear
and tear on body parts that often get overused.
Target your ankles and feet, a key area of walking. Ankle flexibility can drop by a third to a half between 55 and 85.
Comprised of 30 joints, learn a sitting and standing movement exercise for better walking and balance.
FLEXIBILITY’S Two Sessions Below…

SESSION 1: More Flexibility and Less Strain on Your Joints
Try scrubbing a pot with your other hand. Awkward? That’s how much one side has been doing for you, for years, and the joints on that side feel it.
This is flexibility in how you move. When more of your body joins in, you go farther with less strain. Seated, you’ll straighten a spine that spends most of the day bent forward. Standing, short turning lessons have you move from one place while another stays still, turning through your feet, ankles, and hips instead of twisting from your back. Then comes stretching that gives instead of fights, and sharing the load with your other hand.
The parts you’ve overused for decades finally get a break.

SESSION 2: Balance Agility for Walking with More Flexible Feet & Ankles
Sand at the beach, a sloped driveway, a lawn with dips you can’t see. Your feet are built to mold to all of it. Feet that have spent years in shoes or sneakers often forget how.
You’ll check how far your ankles really move, seated with weight through your feet. Then you’ll practice standing, letting the ankle travel in every direction while the rest of you learns to reduce unecessary effort. Better Balance teaches this for steadiness. Here the goal is a springier, easier walk.
